01.

Water Conservation

Gramin Vigyan Seva Sansthan (GVSS) has been working dedicatedly to restore and conserve water resources across Rajasthan.
In collaboration with Aakar Charitable Trust and other partner organizations, we have constructed numerous Chakdams, Anicuts, and Ponds in various villages. These efforts have significantly improved the groundwater level and ensured water availability for both agriculture and daily needs.

As a result, many rural families have been directly benefited, gaining better access to water for irrigation, livestock, and household use. Our initiative continues to promote sustainable water management and inspire communities to value every drop for a secure and prosperous future.

Tree Plantation Drives

Gramin Vigyan Seva Sansthan (GVSS) has been actively promoting environmental conservation through large-scale Tree Plantation Drives across rural areas.
So far, we have successfully organized plantation campaigns in around 36 different villages, encouraging community participation to protect and nurture trees.

These initiatives aim to increase green cover, improve soil health, and raise awareness about the vital role of trees in maintaining ecological balance. Through our campaign “Hamari Vrikch Sampda”, we inspire people to connect with nature and contribute to a greener, healthier future.

Skill Development Programs

Gramin Vigyan Seva Sansthan (GVSS), in collaboration with FVTRS (Functional Vocational Training and Research Society), conducts various Skill Development Programs to empower rural youth with livelihood-oriented skills.

Through vocational training courses such as mobile repairing, motor winding, and electric work training, we aim to enhance employability and promote self-reliance among rural communities. These trainings help participants start their own enterprises or find sustainable local employment, contributing to economic growth and social development at the grassroots level.

Organic Farming

Gramin Vigyan Seva Sansthan (GVSS) has been promoting organic and sustainable farming practices among rural farmers to protect soil health and improve productivity.
We have conducted extensive training programs for farmers in around 20 villages, encouraging them to follow traditional and eco-friendly agricultural methods.

Through these initiatives, farmers are motivated to adopt modern organic techniques, especially the use of natural compost and manure prepared from cow dung (gobar) instead of chemical fertilizers.
This approach not only enhances crop quality but also revives the traditional wisdom of Indian agriculture while ensuring a healthier environment and better livelihoods for farming families.

Education & Library Initiatives

Gramin Vigyan Seva Sansthan (GVSS) believes that education is the foundation of rural development. To strengthen this belief, we have organized awareness campaigns for girls’ education in more than 70 villages, encouraging parents and communities to support girls in continuing their studies and achieving their dreams.

Alongside these efforts, GVSS has also established 17 community libraries to provide students with access to books, study materials, and a learning-friendly environment.
These libraries serve as knowledge centers for rural youth, helping them improve literacy, expand their horizons, and build confidence for a brighter future.

Through our continuous work in education and literacy, we aim to ensure that every child — especially every girl — gets the opportunity to learn, grow, and lead.

06.

Women Empowerment

Gramin Vigyan Seva Sansthan (GVSS) is deeply committed to empowering rural women by helping them become self-reliant and financially independent.
To achieve this, we organize skill-based training programs in stitching (silai) and handicraft production, where women learn to make stone and synthetic decorative items, rakhis, and hand-woven dariya (mats).

These initiatives not only enhance their creativity and confidence but also provide them with a sustainable source of income.
Through such programs, GVSS continues to build pathways for women to contribute actively to their families and communities, fostering true social and economic empowerment.
