Established on 8 January 1988, Gramin Vigyan Seva Sansthan is a grassroots development organization committed to strengthening rural and underserved communities.
For more than three decades, GVSS has promoted community-led solutions in natural resource management, water conservation, sustainable agriculture, education, health, women’s empowerment, livelihoods and environmental awareness.

Integrated programs designed around the priorities of rural communities and the sustainable use of local resources.
Land & Water
Water harvesting, earthen bunds, loose stone dams, land improvement, well renovation and pasture development.
Agriculture
Organic manure, vermicomposting, improved seeds and sustainable, low-cost farming practices.
Horticulture
Fruit tree plantation, nursery raising and promotion of locally suitable plant varieties.
Community Institutions
Village organizations, Mahila Mandals, SHGs, participation and local capacity building.
Education
Non-formal education, youth learning initiatives, rural libraries and community learning.
Health & Hygiene
Mother and child health, hygiene awareness and community health education.
